A beautiful anniversary!

November 17th 2017

The 45th Hotelvrijmibo marks the 10th anniversary of Hotelvrijmibo’s passion for bringing people together. We want you and your colleagues to be part of the celebrations on this special day.

A lot can happen in 10 years time. The first Hotelvrijmibo took place in 2007 at the Vondel Hotel. Since then this unique network event has become a great success and a well-known name in the Dutch hotel industry. 45 editions, 36 unique locations and thousands of visitors: numbers we are very proud of.

The day after!

An article on the 45th Hotelvrijmibo

After an exciting time of organizing, promoting and brainstorming, it’s finally showtime, Friday. A nice dry day where you, the ambassadors and all the other members of the Hotelvrijmibo team were looking forward to.

Thank you all for attending! You have come in great numbers to the beautiful, in Hotel Grand Budapest style, decorated Hotel Arena.

Soon the chapel filled up and the first drinks were handed out. After a delicious cold beer from Heineken, a shot of Heffer or a nice glass of wine, it was time to dance. The music was provided by various DJs including Venus Tunes, Team TNT and Barry Paf & Menno de Boer from RadioRave (radio 538). As can be seen in the aftermovie, the roof went off and everyone was having a good time.

Without you, there is no Hotelvrijmibo.
We hope to see you the 12th of JANUARY 2018 – 46th Hotelvrijmibo edition! Keep an eye on our website for more information!

Hotel Arena

25 years

Hotel Arena is a city hotel extraordinaire. Deeply rooted in Amsterdam, with the Oosterpark at its feet. A place with an urban crowd and a village feel, where the lines between park and hotel, City Centre and Amsterdam East, day and night, work and play, friends and strangers are blurred. Our monumental building is a green hideaway where we celebrate the contrasts that colour our city. We are the place you go to eat, drink, work, sleep and dance. Where you talk and listen, discover and admire, come home, go out and broaden your horizons.

Hotel Arena has 4 stars, 139 rooms and a monumental building dating from 1886. It has been thoroughly renovated and expanded recently. There is a whole new wing added with studios and the Patio is more beautiful than ever. There is also an original, restored chapel, complete with stained glass windows. This dates from the time when Hotel Arena was a Catholic girls’ orphanage. Later, the chapel became a music venue and the orphanage turned into a Sleep-in with bunk beds and full of young people. With the expansion of the hotel, the Oosterpark is now the natural entrance to Hotel Arena. The parking garage has gone underground, making the green area flows seamlessly into the park.
