Food delivery and flex workspaces
A closed restaurant doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy their food. Vessel, the restaurant of the newly opened BOAT&CO, decided to start a delivery service. Chef Ricardo van Ede has prepared a wonderful selection of dishes for delivery, which you can order 7 days a week from 17h30 – 21h00.
One of our Intimi members, Stefan Dubbeld, is working as a Guest Service Manager for hotel BOAT&CO: “Two days ago we started our delivery service with a golf cart in our neighbourhood. Also, flexworkers are welcome in our rooms and atrium. We are trying to make the best out of the situation.”
Rent out rooms as private (work) spaces
Many offices are closed because too many people come together there, which means employees are obliged to work from home. But that is not always easy; for some people there is too much distraction at home, or for some people home is simply not a suitable place to work from. WestCord Hotels came up with a creative solution for this: renting out rooms as private workspaces!
WestCord Art Hotel Amsterdam, Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam and Hotel New York Rotterdam and the WestCord Hotels in Delft and Leeuwarden are offering the possibility to rent a private (work) space for 4 hours or 8 hours. You have your own desk and toilet, unlimited wifi, unlimited use of your own Nespresso machine and / or tea facilities and it is possible to order room service.
Turned rooms into private restaurants
Another creative solution! Carlton Beach in Scheveningen has turned a number of rooms into private dining rooms, where guests can enjoy a delicious dinner with a sea view.
Carlton Beach also rents out rooms as flex workplaces, that can be rented for an amount of € 50.
What to do with all the stock if your hotel restaurant needs to close their doors? Donate it!
Ramada The Hague Scheveningen: “Everyone is feeling the effects of the coronavirus (COVID -19). To help in these difficult times we donated a big part of our stock to the Stichting Kessler! In this way we hope we can contribute in making the lives of the needing a little bit easier.” We think it’s a beautiful gesture.
Food delivery and take away service
The Lobby Fizeaustraat and The Lobby Nesplein, both restaurants of Hotel V Amsterdam, decided to start a delivery service for their food and wines. “Because you can’t visit The Lobby, we found a way to bring food, drinks and a part of The Lobby to you. From now on you can order food and wines. We offer both delivery service and contactless take away.”
Toekan Take Away
Van der Valk Hotel de Bilt – Utrecht launched a special Toekan Take Away menu! “We offer all our loyal guests the opportunity to pick up some dishes from us. You can order delicious salads, sandwiches, hot lunches, main courses, children’s menus, hot snacks and pastries by phone”
Other Van der Valk Hotels also offer a take-away service: Van der Valk Hotel ‘s-Hertogenbosch – Vught, Van der Valk Hotel Tiel, Van der Valk Hotel Amersfoort A1, Van der Valk Hotel Leusden – Amersfoort and Van der Valk Hotel Hoorn
